Detox Lemonade as Black as Your Soul

It has been a crazy couple of months! Me and the future fam have relocated and it required a lot of purging, packing, moving, unpacking, furniture, stress, boxes... you get the idea. Been one of the more stressful times of my life. So much stress, in fact, that I see and feel it. I'm breaking out (bleh), I feel a little under the weather, and I'm fairly certain stress hormones are flooding my system and giving me no bueno vibes.

ENTER DETOX!! ENTER CHARCOAL!! Activated charcoal has been getting a lot of attention lately, and rightfully so. This is the old school toxin destroyer. It's particles are highly absorbent and suck up any and everything lurking in the gut and system. It is used when people ingest poisons to help nullify its effects. It is so very absorbent that it'll suck up the good nutrients too, so be aware never to take it immediately before or after medicine, food, or vitamins. In fact it's recommended to not eat or take anything 2 hours before or after this punk rock lemonade. 

This wonder substance helps mop up bacterial endotoxin, which are toxins made by gut bacteria that increase in population whenever you eat something you don't digest properly or that irritates the intestine. Endotoxin also increase when you eat fermentable carbohydrates, because they provide food for the bacteria. Excess endotoxin can lead to elevated estrogen and cortisol, which have many negative, aging effects for your skin—and body. So if you ever eat something that gives you a bad feeling or triggers bad reactions, reach for this bevvie.  

Word of Advice: Drink a large glass of plain water after completing drink to help push it through the system. During intense cleansing or detox, can be drank daily. Otherwise, reach for it once or twice a week. Prolonged daily use may affect nutrient absorption.

Juice of 2 Lemons

2 Cups Filtered Water

1 Tablespoon Activated Charcoal (Make Sure it's Food Grade!!)

Stevia to Taste
